Court Appointed Special Advocates

Serving Franklin, Gasconade and osage Counties of Missouri

There is a child in the foster care system waiting for a volunteer like you. With a CASA Volunteer, children are more likely to adjust to change, do well in school, and find safe, permanent homes. Get involved and Change a Child’s Story.™

A CASA Volunteer provides a judge with carefully researched background information of the child to help the court make a sound decision about that child’s future.

Our mission

Hope is everything

CASA of Mideast Missouri advocates for the best interest of children of abuse and neglect who are under the protection of the Franklin County, Gasconade County and Osage County Juvenile Courts.

Through highly trained community Volunteer Advocates, the child’s needs are heard, researched and advocated for throughout the duration of the child’s time before the court, thus securing a safe and permanent home for all such children.

SPRING 2024 Graduation

On Monday, April 8th, CASA of Mideast Missouri celebrated a significant milestone as 12 dedicated individuals were sworn in by Judge Ada Brehe-Krueger, marking their official induction as CASA volunteers. These individuals have committed themselves to serving as advocates for children enduring situations of abuse and neglect within our community.

Congratulations Paigelyn Porter, Amy Mitchell, Kristy Russell, Frances Boswell, Christine Speckhals, Rebecca Childs, Sue Ewing, Carla Pelton, Courtney Hellmann, Eugene Lang, Taylor Timmons and Ashley Aholt.  Welcome to the CASA family!

This ceremony holds special significance as it not only marks the addition of 12 new advocates to our team but also signifies the expansion of our services. At the onset of this year, CASA extended its reach into Osage County, thereby broadening our support network to encompass Osage, Franklin, and Gasconade Counties. This graduation ceremony represents our inaugural class of volunteers from Osage County, marking a pivotal moment in our organization’s growth and impact.

Our next training will begin in June.  If you are interested in joining this amazing group of volunteers, please apply below.
